Biography of Prof. Choi:
?
Professor C. H. Jonathan Choi obtained his B.S. and M.S. degrees in chemical engineering from Stanford University in 2005 and 2006, respectively. In 2011, he received his Ph.D. degree in chemical engineering from the California Institute of Technology, under the supervision of Professor Mark E. Davis. For his dissertation, he examined the in vivo pharmacological behavior of systemically injected nanoparticles at the organ, tissue, and cellular levels. From 2011 to 2013, he worked as a Croucher Foundation postdoctoral research fellow with Professor Chad A. Mirkin of Northwestern University, where he studied the interactions between oligonucleotide-based nanostructures and the cell. Professor Choi joined the Department of Electronic Engineering (Biomedical Engineering) at The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) in 2013. His current research interests focus on nanomedicine, “bio-nano” interactions, bionanomaterials, nucleic acid, and biological imaging.
